BECCI is originally from western Perth Australia where Kangaroos and gum trees are prevalent. BECCI lives and breathes music and as a child was influenced by early 90's dance music because of her mother's love for this style of music. By the age of 10, she had begun writing poems and short stories. Her mother saw the potential in her little girl's talent in this arena and strongly encouraged her to continue expressing herself in that genre. At the age of 14, BECCI began visualizing musical dreams and was so inspired by these visions that she directed her energies into becoming a hip hop-electro DJ. This made her transition from being a DJ to being a solo urban-rap electro artist and writer a natural progression. Soon after BECCI made the transition from Dj to artist/writer/performer, she quickly gained the attention of a number of underground international- electro and dance producers via internet exposure. Inevitably she wrote and co--wrote a number of underground dance/electro projects that had minimal success on internet stores like Beatport, Juno, Itunes and others. This led her to do many performances at popular clubs and venues all around Australia. Polo Molina, the manager of the black eye peas, caught one of her shows in Australia and was very impressed by her raw talent and addictive brand of style. Polo suggested that BECCI consider the idea of developing her style and image in more of the urban pop arena and also consider making a move to America. From that point on the seed was planted, and Soon after Becci moved to America (New York City). Once in New York, Becci did a couple of successful shows and did a lot of writing for other artist she's a new star for the world at large to enjoy, look out for BECCI!
