  • Bio

Seeing a strange dancer with a mask of Peruvian wool, I came across an audience that vibrated to the sound of Electrotech Disco. The dancer could attract public attention to the typical and offensive middle finger, the universal "fuck off" or "fuck you", as they please. Signal had as obscene by most of society has already caused many deaths, beatings and insults. By the simple act of showing the middle finger friendships, and all sorts of relationships were shattered. Given all this the question is: What does the “fuck off “the masked dancer? Hailing from Brooklyn, neighborhood extremely conservative of German colonization, the members of ED seek an overcoming from those parochial paradigms. They saw their friends attempt suicide, doing drugs and fit the stereotypes of "family man". They were tired of that reality of "good" and "evil", only two paths to follow, a paragon of middle class decline. The anger of the family institution that stifles meant that seek to "rot" as a way to maintain integrity in the face of social pressure. The vibration will not let us deceive, the public that concentrates on concerts Electrotech disc sees the "fuck you" the dancer with the greatest joy and naturalness. They say "fuck you" to their problems and go live their lives, realize that being "good guys" or "straight" failed to achieve happiness, thus making the obscene act a symbol of happiness. In the 60's the hippies had peace and love, today we have the "fuck you". This phenomenon of overcoming social constructions universal, the middle finger is no longer offensive to mean alive. Not in the sense of Carpe Diem, live for the moment, but in order to build an intense deconstruction of society's values through the "rot". Deconstruct our society by adding references to the world and especially Latin America. Increased their sensitivity to the poverty of cities of this continent, experiencing the feeling that the world will end in ecological disaster, not thinking about revolution, but in vibration. They are not capitalists, these guys only want to increase their level of awareness of the world fleeing oppressive at times. When traveling, they compose and produce their shows and clips. No longer believe in heroes, they are ridiculous as well as their country, do not believe in neither rich nor the poor, do not feel represented by our government bureaucracy that tries to prevent them from breeding. They believe in living your life so full, having to be 'rotten', even marginal when necessary. With his body language the dancer invites all to a "fuck you" to a society that suffocates. And besides all, he does not speak anything other than that; he is not interested in speaking only in the making. Is tired of ideologies and conversations, thirst to live, to live free in a world increasingly controlled. And the cameras that should be used to oversee, serve to reproduce his "fuck you" world.
